Events Chair - Cristina Cruz
Originally from Central Massachusetts, Cristina moved to Orlando in 2007. She holds a Masters in Public Service Management, with a focus on Metropolitan Planning & Urban Affairs from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. She also attended Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico (Inter American University of Puerto Rico) to learn more of her cultural background and earned a Bachelor’s in Sociology: Anthropology.
Cristina has worked for both the nonprofit sector and public sector, as well as in many fields including social work, housing, and public administration. Currently she is an Urban Planner II with the City of Orlando Transportation Planning Division and works on projects to improve alternative transportation, such as transit, bicycle, and pedestrian planning. She is also involved in projects that include community events and is an advocate for sustainable development.
